New updated IBD Standards – Consultation please review

The current IBD Standards are being updated and are now at the consultation stages, we have to the 6th of July to feedback.

The standards are very much a view on what high quality care in IBD looks like across the whole MDT and are held as a benchmark for services across the UK.

Please see this message from IBDUK including the BSG and Crohn’s and Colitis UK:

“We would very much value comments on the updated Standards from across the IBD MDT. With that in mind, we would be grateful if you could review the consultation on behalf of your organisation and share the consultation link more widely with your networks.  The consultation can be found here: IBD Standards Update 2025: Consultation | IBD UK. We appreciate that not all Standards are relevant to all members of the MDT so please feel free to only comment on those relevant to your organisation/expertise.  People with lived experience have been included throughout the update process and we will continue to engage with patients during the consultation phase.”

It would be great to have feedback from Northern Ireland clinicians on the standards either using the feedback form or through the USG and I would encourage you to participate.
